dataguise, a leading provider of security solutions for protecting sensitive data, announced the next generation of the company's dataguise security solution - dgdiscover 3.0 and dgmasker 3.0. Version 3.0 is designed to find structured database repositories across the network, search and discover sensitive data in structured databases, and then mask or de-identify to protect sensitive data.
Avidiant Consulting Group announced that it will offer credit unions risk management services along with strategic planning, management consulting and regulatory compliance. The Dallas-based business consulting firm said its credit administration assessment service will include loan authorities, underwriting and documentation standards. Avidiant will also offer internal loan grading systems and delinquency reporting and collection efforts.
Greensboro, NC-based Advanced Fraud Solutions said that it has signed America First Credit Union to install the company’s TrueChecks counterfeit check detection system across all of its teller lines. TrueChecks analyzes demand drafts for the frontline personnel and gives them instant information on: counterfeit check and money order information; fraudulent routing numbers; fraudulent account information; counterfeit alerts and names of fraudulent people and businesses.
Gladiator Technology, the ProfitStars solution that operates as a managed security services provider (MSSP) exclusively for financial institutions nationwide, announced the launch of The Compliance Center, an online repository for IT regulatory compliance documents and related information. The Compliance Center is hosted within Gladiator’s existing customer portal and provides secure electronic policy delivery and storage as well as access to educational materials and guidance information in a convenient and paperless format.

Hewlett-Packard announced its Compaq 500B and 505B microtower business desktop PCs, intended for small businesses on a budget. The 500B comes with Windows 7 Professional (or XP Pro, or Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11), Intel Pentium dual-core or Celeron processors, up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, 160GB SATA 7,200 RPM hard drive, a DVD-ROM drive, Intel GMA 3100 graphics and 802.11 b/g/n. The 505B distinguishes itself with AMD Athlon II dual, triple or quad core processors and integrated Nvidia GeForce 6150SE graphics by default. The 500B will start at $359 and the 505B will start at $409.
