Juniper Networks has rolled out Juniper Cloud Workload Protection package - a lightweight software agent that the company says controls application execution and monitors application behavior to help organizations spot and fix anomalies. Cloud Workload Protection deploys in Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon Web Services’ Fargate container-deployment services at the container, host, or VM level. In addition, there is a small application-specific component that is loaded at runtime.

Amazon, Google and Microsoft are among several tech companies that have agreed to join a government effort to fight ransomware. More than 4 in 5 U.S. adults (81%) say they feel secure making financial transactions online, according to a new survey from Notarize. They also found that 90% of people complete financial transactions online, including 86% of those older than 65. About half of U.S. adults who’ve completed financial transactions online say two-factor authentication (51%) or security questions (48%) make their online financial transactions feel most safe and secure.
Speeds are improving for Starlink’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite Internet service in the U.S., where Ookla Speedtest analysis also found faster median download and upload speeds than other satellite providers. They noted that Starlink “was the only satellite Internet provider in the United States with…median download speeds fast enough to handle most of the needs of modern online life.”
The cloud broadens an organization’s attack surface to the point that security teams must guard data across multiple clouds, tools, and on-premises locations.
