FIs are lagging in the digital money management functions that have made FinTech and neobank apps so popular, according to a major consumer study by Insider Intelligence. The report states that of the adult mobile banking users they surveyed in the U.S., 87% said that mobile is their primary banking channel. U.S. lenders issued more credit cards than ever last year, with a growing share of them going to consumers with lower credit scores.
