Sonect, which recently won Best of Show in its Finovate debut at FinovateEurope, leverages what it calls a social network for cash to help people get the cash they need wherever they are. The firm claims that FIs can extend their ATM networks with Sonect, avoiding the expense of purchasing and maintaining additional cash distribution hardware. Using the Sonect app, users select their preferred merchant and the amount of cash they wish to withdraw. The merchant will scan the barcode in the user’s Sonect app, and the funds will automatically be deducted from their account as soon as the transaction is confirmed. The user then receives their cash.

Google made a number of security announcements at RSA 2020, including upgrades to its Chronicle Security platform and the general release of its reCAPTCHA Enterprise and Web Risk API tools. Google also announced two additions to Chronicle which is their security analytics platform: Threat detection using the new YARA-L rules language and enhanced data modeling.
VMware is rolling out three new offerings: 1) VMware Advanced Security for Cloud Foundation; 2) Support for security correlation with the MITRE ATT&CK framework Technique IDs (TIDs); and 3) VMware Secure State. Juniper Networks has boosted its threat detection capabilities across its Mist platform for wireless users and Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP) Cloud and SRX Series firewalls. Juniper's new encrypted traffic analysis feature was designed to detect malicious botnets that are often undetected due to encryption. It gives organizations more visibility and policy control over encrypted traffic, without requiring resource-intensive SSL Decryption.
