Fiserv has introduced a new account aggregation solution called AllData. According to the company, AllData Connect enables consumer data consent by directing consumers to a Fiserv-hosted portal where they validate their identity and provide consent to share their data.

A consortium of 51 consumer, privacy, and civil rights groups have sent a letter to Senators expressing support for legislation they have introduced, the Payment Choice Act, H.R. 2650 and S. 4145, which would prohibit brick-and-mortar retailers from refusing to accept cash or charging consumers more for paying with cash. They point to a report released by the Federal Reserve in May 2020 that shows that nearly a quarter of U.S. adults were either underbanked or unbanked last year.

The pandemic has led to an expansion of the ways business owners use mobile banking apps, with some observers noting an uptick in SMB loan applications and management via mobile devices in recent months. Microsoft has introduced a new, 'streamlined' setup experience that allows admins to apply security settings on an organization-wide scale via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This includes activating Windows Defender Antivirus for all users, web filtering and protecting files and folders on PCs with BitLocker Drive Encryption. The feature has been built "with small and medium-sized businesses in mind" and is available to customers using Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
Biometrics company Fingerprint Cards AB (Fingerprints) has launched the second generation of its T-Shape sensor and software platform for contactless biometric payment cards. The new product solution, part of the FPC1300-series, delivers increased image quality and transaction speed as well as improved power efficiency.
