There are two principal arguments for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): cost and security. Because the bulk of the processing is done on the server, organizations don’t always need to deploy high-end hardware to their employees which is why it has been gaining in popularity during the pandemic. However, organizations using VDI often find that they need to spend more on data center and networking infrastructure to speed up response times, offsetting their savings on client hardware.
Samsung says its new PCIe 4.0 NVMe solid state drive, the Samsung SSD 980 PRO, doubles the read/write speeds of previous-generation PCIe 3.0 technologies to 7,000 MB/s and 5,000 MB/s, respectively, which also happens to be over 12 times faster than SATA drives. To keep things cool, Samsung redesigned the SSD's thermal management, bringing cooling components closer to the controller, which has the added benefit of keeping the component's design extra slim.

Credential stuffing is a type of cyberattack where stolen account credentials typically consisting of lists of usernames and/or email addresses and the corresponding passwords are used to gain unauthorized access to user accounts through large-scale automated login requests directed against a web application. But while organizations are rightly worried about weathering a hurricane of credential-stuffing attacks, they also need to be concerned about more subtle, but equally dangerous, threats to APIs that can slip in under the radar. Attacks that exploit APIs, beyond credential stuffing, can start small with targeted probing of unique API logic, and lead to exploits such as the theft of personal information, wholesale data exfiltration or full account takeovers.

A self-driving wallet can be descibed as an online service you would use to receive money and buy things. But also, it would send your taxes to the IRS and invest a part of your cash as you wish automatically, for example. A complete self-driven wallet might not exist yet but there are services that hint towards becoming just that - the author uses Square’s online platform and Robinhood's mobile app and website that offer people the ability to invest in stocks, ETFs, and options as an examples.
Cisco has further broadened the cloud-integration options available to its SD-WAN customers with new connectivity options to AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services. With these additions, Cisco’s goal is to ensure cloud-destined traffic gets into the cloud network faster, improving management, performance, security and reducing the latency that can impact cloud workloads. The enhancements center around Cisco’s SD-WAN Cloud OnRamp feature that lets customers tie distributed cloud applications back to a branch office or private data center.
The first performance numbers from SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service are coming in and they're looking great. Starlink showed Internet performance tests with download speeds of around 100Mbps, upload speeds of around 40Mbps, and a latency of around 18 milliseconds.
