Financial Town has launched BankOn Video which is an interactive mobile video banking solution providing face-to-face member communication and access to live financial professionals, as well as sales and service representatives. BankOn video calls can be initiated through a mobile video app, web portal or member communication center.

Fiserv announced that 25 credit unions, with approximately $2.5 billion in assets and 250,000 members collectively, have committed to its CUnify account processing platform. Five of these credit unions are new core processing clients of Fiserv, and will be converting to CUnify in 2016.

Bluepoint Solutions and AMI Information Systems announced a partnership to provide Bluepoint`s ImagePoint suite of check capture and item processing solutions to credit unions nationwide. AMI said that pairing with Bluepoint Solutions will allow them to add sophisticated aggregation technology and an array of other capture points and complementary services.

MasterCard and CU Wallet announced they are partnering to deliver a customized digital service to credit unions. The 120 member credit unions of CU Wallet, who represent more than 10 million members, can now offer MasterCard`s digital wallet service in their own credit union-branded mobile application.

Fujitsu's new STYLISTIC Q736 2 in 1 device features different types of security technologies including Fujitsu`s unique PalmSecure palm vein biometric technology. The new 13 inch tablet – which converts instantly into a classic clamshell notebook through the connection of a dockable keyboard – enables security authentication with biometrics or SmartCard technology, also including support for contactless SmartCard via NFC (near-field communication) technology. Furthermore, the STYLISTIC Q736 features encrypted drives and Intel`s TPM1 got added security. Standard features include a digital pen to fully digitalize handwritten note taking, and the incorporation of Intel Pro Wireless Display to connect to an external monitor wirelessly.

The Brother HL-L6200DW features printing up to 48ppm and automatic two-sided printing, and comes with a super high-yield replacement toner cartridge. It reduces paper refills with a 520-sheet capacity paper tray that holds more than a ream of paper, or for even greater paper capacity add optional trays for a total capacity of 1,610 sheets. Admins can restrict unauthorized printing and help protect sensitive documents with a wide-range of security features including: Secure Print, Secure Function Lock, Enterprise Security (802.1x), IPSec, SSL/TLS and more. Software Updates

ProtectWise File DVR applies artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science capabilities to analyze the characteristics of suspicious files in real time. The company says that their software can discover malicious files that may have been previously unknown by analyzing historic file metadata automatically. The software is part of ProtectWise's Cloud Network DVR which is a virtual “camera in the cloud” that records everything on the network.

Malwarebytes Breach Remediation provides automated next-gen endpoint detection and remediation via an extensible platform. The platform uses Malwarebytes behavioral rules and heuristics, in addition to indicators of compromise from third party breach detection tools and repositories. Admins can trigger deployment and remediation through your endpoint management platform based on alerts received from their SIEM and automatically feed resolution details back into your SIEM.

MasterCard says new machine-learning technology, which also employs data visualization tools, is helping to thwart cyberattacks that target ATMs. The Safety Net system, rolled out globally late last year, analyzes more than 1.3 billion transactions per day involving MasterCard debit and credit accounts at FIs, merchants and ATMs, using algorithms that assess cardholder behavior in real time.

Clear Inline is Digital Check`s latest addition to its imaging software suite. The software automatically recognizes difficult-to-scan checks and money orders as they are inserted by the user, and re-renders them into legible images while the transaction is still in progress. The company's patent-pending technology applies different contrast and light settings to different parts of the same image, reducing errors from faint printing, background interference, security features, and other common issues with scanned checks and money orders.

The National Credit Union Administration says that an unnamed financial technology firm is expected to roll out ATMs that allow members to conduct ATM transactions with 11-digit codes and PINs. The card-free transaction will eliminate skimming incidents and help pave the way for mobile-based tap-and-go ATM transactions. In action, members are given a code by their credit union and a corresponding PIN. Once at the ATM, members enter the code on the ATM screen, rather than inserting a card, and then enter the PIN to receive their money.

Wireless World

PwC reports that the transaction value of in-store mobile payments was just $6.8 billion in the United States last year, but they are predicting that the value of mobile payments will reach $34 billion in 2019. Other observers believe the shift to EMV cards will fuel growth of the mobile payments market, as new terminals that read the chip cards also include Near Field Communication technology that allows consumers to wave their phones near the terminals to make purchases.

SwipeSonic is a new ultrasound payment technology developed by CopSonic and partner Natixis Payment Solutions. The companies claim that sound is the easiest and most effective technology for near field communication because it does not require a user to point a device and there is no pairing like with Bluetooth. SwipeSonic provides ultrasound-based encryption that is inaudible to the human ear to secure online transactions. They tout the speed of their transactions - they state that online payments are completed in 20 seconds using SwipeSonic

Visa announced it was making the Visa Token Service available to auto manufacturers, helping to pave the way for easy and secure car-based commerce. Visa is also offering a range of related digital payment solutions, including new standards for Bluetooth (BLE) and QR codes. Real world examples include pay for gas in one click without leaving the car and a parking app that helps a driver pay only for the time used and helps avoid under- and over-paying via a Visa partnership with ParkWhiz.

Security Section

Trusona has launched a four-factor authentication system that they say is the world's first authentication platform and federated identity solution. It is designed for high dollar transactions, VIP access, admins who have access the most valued corporate assets, etc. It requires a dongle that is tied to a set of specific devices (phones, tablets, laptops), certain cards with magnetic stripes that the user already owns, and a biometric ID based on how the card is swiped through the card reader on the dongle. If all these factors check out, authentication is confirmed to the server the user is trying to log into. All data is encrypted before it leaves the dongle. The Scottsdale, AZ-based company says that their core technology has experienced zero fraud in over 119 million transactions to date.

DB Networks, a provider of database cybersecurity products, has partnered with Cyphort to integrate their security platforms. Both Cyphort and DB Networks use machine learning coupled with behavior analysis, to provide detection that evolves with threats and protects against new zero-days, APTs and evasive attacks. Database Threat Protection is part of ThreatWatch 2.0 and provides visibility into which applications and users are making connections to databases.

Online Banking/E-Commerce/Website Design

MasterCard, which has also piloted the technology in the US, is now ready to roll out selfie and fingerprint payments in America, Canada and a host of European countries this summer. In a recent test of 750 users, more than three quarters of participants say that they want to continue using a fingerprint and/or facial recognition to complete payments and some nine out of 10 would like to replace their password with biometric identification. Of those surveyed, 95% of the fingerprint users and 80% of the facial recognition users indicate that shopping became more convenient, while almost 75% expect that biometric payments will decrease fraud. When making a purchase online from a merchant that requires identity verification, cardholders can authorize the transaction by holding up their phones as if taking a selfie and blinking—which ensure the cardholder is a live person, not just a photograph—instead inputting a password or PIN.

Wirex is claiming to be the world's first hybrid personal banking solution that combines the benefits of blockchain technology with users' everyday finances. Wirex offers 3 main services: mobile banking via the Wirex app, instant remittance services, and upgraded 2-way debit cards that allow on-demand conversion between bitcoin and traditional currencies. Users can also integrate individual Wirex accounts with PayPal, Amazon, and Skrill, and funds are protected by XL Group, one of the largest insurance service providers in the world.

Internet Access

CloudFlare has launched a domain name registration service with enhanced security controls designed to prevent domain hijacking. In many cases, a single password stands between a scammer and taking over a domain. CloudFlare's Registrar service uses DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), which uses public key cryptography to digitally "sign" the DNS records for websites, making them less susceptible to tampering. CloudFlare Registrar automatically implements both registrar and registry locks in order to restrict unauthorized changes to domains. Before any transfers are made, they also require both online and offline confirmation from multiple independent sources. In addition, they will automatically renew all CloudFlare Registrar domains when they have less than one year left on their registration term which means the domains will never expire.

WebTitan Cloud is a 100% cloud based DNS filtering solution that allows you to monitor, control and protect users. The solution requires no on premise software or end user client software. The company touts a three step setup proves: 1} log in, 2} add your external IP address and set your policy, and 3} redirect your DNS to them.

The company claims that it is the first and only company to offer comprehensive call center fraud detection to all consumer voice channel interactions. IVR Anti-Fraud analyzes multiple layers of caller information and creates a risk score to help identify risky or suspicious callers just like Pindrop's Fraud Detection System solution for live agent calls.
